Report on the antenna in field use: Absolutely brilliant. Set up in a dog field near Darlington (NE England). Antenna in sloper form - 7.5 metres high using a fishing pole to the Yaesu 818 using 4 watts (internal battery). Only time for 15 mins activation 0n 40m 7.095 time: 12:15 - Orkney, 5,7 Devon 5,8. Sanquar (Scottish Borders) 5,9+. Such an easy antenna to erect and use. Certainly has fired my enthusiasm for QRP portable. Thoroughly recommended for great results!

SOTA HWEF KEVLAR ANTENNA QRP 49:1 10 WATTS
Received the antenna today. Fast postage and very well packed. The antenna is very well made with high quality components ( as distinct from the Chinese counterparts). The build is robust and is very carefully finished. The high grade BNC cover shows the pride in quality taken. I needed to shorten the wire for best swr on 40 m but this is very easy and reversible if needed. The instruction book is well written and contains much useful advice. I bought this antenna to get out into the wilds as an antidote to lockdowns and social distancing - I am going to have fun with it. Thanks for your help and advice.

Purchased for SOTA, POTA and general portable use to replace an older QRP EFHW imported from the US some years ago. The quality of this antenna should not be understated, it is well made and comes with all the necessary bits and pieces including both the elasticated retaining clip and, unexpectedly, a quality BNC socket cover - I was most impressed on receipt. Whilst recently staying with a relative I ran out the antenna horizontally across the lawn into an adjacent tree. It was resonant enough to use without adjustment or need for an ATU and performed very well despite my deployment limitations. Overall excellent - this is my new go to portable antenna!

I recently purchased this antenna purely for using portable whilst activating SOTA, POTA and WWFF , references during the weekend I activated the mendip hills I started out using my trusted linked dipole, when I had made the required amount of contacts, I decided to give this EFHW a go I put it up my 7m mast as a inverted L . I checked the SWR and decided not to alter anything it was perfectly usable as supplied the antenna performed excellent .The build quality is very good at last an antenna that does what it is supposed to do . so all in all very happy with my purchase I will now use this as my main portable antenna as I don't need to lower it like a linked di pole to change bands.
