WORKS A TREAT - for both small gardens and out portable - recommended - have several "wire antennas " - never had a problem with any of them - well constructed - and good prices

I recently moved into a new build property with strict antenna restrictions which has meant that I have had to look to a loft solution to get back on the air.
My first attempts were not successful and I found that fixing the antenna cable to wood beams with plastic cable ties de-tuned a 20m bazooka antenna resulting in unworkable high SWR. In discussion with Lawrence, who was very patient, extremely knowledgeable and helpful I settled on this EFHW antenna. This time I installed suspending the antenna between beams on nylon cord. The result, low SWR on 10/20/40 and I have been able to work into Europe without issue with true 5.9 reports on 40m! The noise floor is a little high but given the compromise of having to use a loft, and given I am in an urban environment with a lot of local band pollution, is an exceptional result and I recommend this antenna to anyone looking for a compact well built antenna supplied by a company that has exceptional customer service! 73

I got this antenna round July 2022. I'm just getting back in to radio after a break of some 17 years. I have a very small garden and this was all I could fit. I have it fitted the opposite way around to the diagram. I have the feed point at an upstairs shack and the antenna slopes down towards the ground. In 6 months, I have worked all Europe and 98 DXCC countries. About 80% of my work is on 10m where the antenna performs very well indeed. It also tunes up fine on 15m with the built-in tuner. I'm very happy with it. In fact, I'm so happy with it, I'm wondering how I can manage to cram the next size up, the shortened 80m one, in to my tiny garden!
